Handgun
Familiarization:
Hold and learn to manipulate a variety of defensive handguns
and experience the fit and feel.
Learn the operation of these guns and basic
manipulations.
Go hands-on with the appropriate gear, such as holsters, magazine pouches,
etc.
Learn about the various ways to carry a
handgun exposed and concealed.
*Experienced shooters can attend
the Handgun Familiarization for free if they bring an interested new shooter. Bring your spouse or significant
partner.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to bring their mid-teenage children to help
clarify the message that “a gun is a tool”, admission is $25 for parents and guardians with children, No
Fee for Youth attending with paid parent.
Shotgun
Familiarization:
Hold and learn to manipulate a variety of defensive shotguns and
experience the fit and feel.
Learn the operation of pump and semi-auto shotguns and basic
manipulations.
Go hands-on with the appropriate gear, such as slings, ammo holders,
etc.
Learn about the various ways to carry and sling a variety of
shotguns.
Rifle
Familiarization:
Hold and learn to manipulate a variety of defensive rifles and
experience the fit and feel.
Learn the operation of these guns and basic
manipulations.
Go hands-on with the appropriate gear, such as slings, magazine
pouches, etc.
Learn about the various ways to carry and sling a variety of
rifles.
Experience the fit and feel of several styles and makes of “carry”, “combat” weapons. Learn how to “run”
the weapon according to the manual of arms. Make final decisions on what guns fit your hands and body
style. Establish a comprehensive set of requirements before you spend and potentially waste time and
money on equipment that does not fit your needs.
Each weapon is different in its feel, fit and operation. 2 hours of education will save
hundreds of dollars.
Carry Concealed Weapons (CCW)
Course:
2-Day course that goes above and beyond the basics and minimum
required by the state.
Learn all the applicable laws and responsibilities with carrying a
concealed handgun.
Learn to shoot from concealment.
Learn weapons manipulation, defensive shooting techniques and basic
tactics.
Handgun Proficiency
Handgun 1:
Learn weapons manipulation, loading and unloading, malfunction
clearances.
Learn proper and effective grip and stance.
Learn the elements of defensive marksmanship.
Learn the effective target areas on an adversary.
Learn the proper “draw stroke” and shot placement.
Apply your shooting and manipulation techniques against the stress of
time.
Evaluate your new skill levels.
Handgun 2:
Enhance your basic skill levels with refined techniques
in:
- Weapons
presentation - Weapons
manipulation - Target
engagement
Shoot from different supported positions
Multiple target engagement
Close quarters techniques
Basic movements
Evaluate your refined skill levels.
Handgun 3:
Apply your skill levels gained in Handgun 1 and Handgun 2 into
tactical situations.
Increased decision making while engaging targets with your
handgun.
Movement with cover and concealment
Real world street encounter scenarios
Reality based tactical techniques.
Shotgun Proficiency
Shotgun 1:
Learn weapons manipulation, loading and unloading, malfunction
clearances.
Learn proper and effective grip and stance.
Learn the elements of defensive marksmanship and the spreading conical
patters.
Learn about load selection.
Pattern your shotgun.
Learn the effective target areas on an adversary.
Learn the various “ready positions” and shot
placement.
Apply your shooting and manipulation techniques against the stress of

Close Quarters Defense
Responder (CQDR), Levels I, II, III. (3-6 modules per program)
The
CQDR candidate will be trained in 2 firearms disciplines, knife techniques and hand to hand techniques including
ground fighting. Many “styles” contribute to the curriculum. Edged weapons include an introduction to folders,
the fixed blade and long blade fighting techniques.
Night Class Modules in CQDR I
- III
Night
I and II will cover all tactics used in night
operations utilizing an artificial light source.
Tactical Night will utilize Night Vision, Infra Red, and Suppressors. This is for the
advanced shooter as well as the Professional seeking additional practice. Stealth in acquiring a shooting
position and delivering that shot without being detected by the staff will be a goal of the
exercises.
